Making your own Sushi

Making sushi is a bit of an art, and it can take a lot of practice before it begins to look like the sushi you would find in a Japanese restaurant. Nigiri sushi is one of the most popular forms and it can be made relatively easily.

Once you have cooked the sushi rice you should add vinegar, and this should be when the rice is still hot. Remember to try and cool the rice as quickly as possible, especially if you want it to look glossy. Once you have laid out the sushi you should lay it out and cut out the desired amount of sushi you need, then place the meat on top and wrap in seaweed.

This can work with raw and cooked seafood and it’s really down to your own preference, but it’s certainly one of the most popular types of sushi and it’s not just a big hit in Japan it’s now found in many countries including America and the UK.
