Founded
in 1981, A.B. Fruits was started by proprietor Antonio Bosco.
Originally a mobile business, Antonio would spend the early
days
visiting fruiterers and restaurants on a daily basis offering
the
freshest produce, always!
As time passed the business grew and A.B. Fruits found a permanent
home in its current location in Bedford. This permanent home
allowed
for a lot more stock to be carried and consequently expand their
customer
base. Realising that he would not be able to continue as
a sole trader, Antonio's brother Angelo came on board as a partner.
Angelo's role is one of the most important keys to the success
of the
business as he is head of purchasing. Buying predominantly out
of
Covent Garden Market in London and Rungis Market in Paris, Angelo
ensures only the freshest and highest quality produce is procured
on a daily basis.
The introduction of his brother Angelo meant that Antonio was
free
to concentrate on developing the business‚ product portfolio
and
progress the company even further. |
